The Company has its origins in Maldon (Great Britain) in 1936, where today the main research and testing centre is located.

From 1975 to 1989 the company joined the Shell Group, under the name of NICKERSON SEEDS, who were involved in the breeding of different crops.

From 1989 the company took the name of LION SEEDS UK and has since joined the LSH Group which is conducting a European project for the genetic improvement sugar beet.

Now LION SEEDS UK is totally focused on meeting the needs of the European sugar beet producers.
